1921	One shilling please guv'ner (5p).
1948	Half-a-crown please sir (12.5p).
1971	That'll be fifteen new pence please - three bob in old money.(some points in the country were already up to 4/- by the late sixties).
1972	Twenty new pence sir.
1975	That will be twenty five pence please.
1977	Thirty pence please
1980	They are fifty p each sir
1993	Just a pound please
1996	That will be one pound fifty please.
2000	Two pounds each one sir.
