• So where do pony racing riders go to?

Leading South-East ex-pony racers Tom Cannon and Tom Cheesman are currently now working for leading National Hunt trainers David Pipe and Philip Hobbs respectively. Freddie, son of Epsom flat trainer Philip Mitchell has been learning his trade in South-East Point-to-point pony races. East Anglia based Gina Andrews has already progressed  from ponies to leading local Point-to-Point rider as well as several wins under National Hunt rules,with her younger sister Bridget probably going to make a similar transition when she reaches the right age. South East ex-pony rider Will Hickman has won a National PtP title this spring.
